UT Health, commonly known as UTHealth Houston, is the short name for The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. It is a public academic health center located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, and is part of the University of Texas System. The institution focuses on health education, research, and patient care through its six schools: McGovern Medical School, School of Nursing, School of Dentistry, School of Biomedical Informatics, School of Public Health, and the Cizik School of Nursing. UTHealth Houston is one of the largest and most comprehensive health science centers in the United States, training future health professionals, conducting biomedical and public health research, and providing clinical care across the Houston region.
