University of Oklahoma

The University of Oklahoma (OU) is a public research university founded in 1890, shortly before Oklahoma achieved statehood. Its main campus is located in Norman, Oklahoma, with additional major campuses in Oklahoma City (the Health Sciences Center) and Tulsa (the Schusterman Center). OU is classified as an R1 research university and offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across disciplines such as engineering, business, meteorology, medicine, law, and the arts. The university is known for its strong programs in meteorology, petroleum engineering, and Native American studies, as well as its extensive research enterprise.
