The University of Southern Mississippi

The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) is a public research university headquartered in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Founded in 1910 as Mississippi Normal College, it has evolved into a comprehensive doctoral institution with strong programs in polymer science, marine science, business, education, nursing, and the arts.
