State University of New York at Stony Brook

The State University of New York at Stony Brook, commonly referred to as Stony Brook University, is a public research university located in Stony Brook, New York. It is one of the largest and most prestigious universities in the State University of New York (SUNY) system. The university was established in 1959 as a state-supported center of the State University of New York, and has since grown to become a leading institution in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
