State University of New York at Binghamton

Binghamton University, formally the State University of New York at Binghamton, is a public research university in Vestal, New York, and one of the four university centers of the SUNY system. Founded in 1946 as Triple Cities College, it became Harpur College and later a doctoral-granting SUNY university center in 1965. The university is known for strong academics, research activity, and high return on investment, offering undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs through schools such as Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, the Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science, the School of Management, the Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Binghamton's main campus sits on a large hillside setting in Vestal, near the city of Binghamton in New York's Southern Tier.
