Rutgers (State University Of New Jersey) New Brunswick

Rutgers University–New Brunswick is the flagship public research campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Chartered in 1766 as Queen’s College, it is one of the nine colonial colleges established before the American Revolution and the oldest institution of higher education in New Jersey. Located primarily in New Brunswick and Piscataway, it is classified as an R1 doctoral university with very high research activity and is a member of the Association of American Universities. The campus offers a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across schools such as Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Business, and Public Health. The New Brunswick campus is organized into five distinct sub-campuses—College Avenue, Busch, Livingston, Cook, and Douglass—connected by a free bus system. It enrolls roughly 50,000 students, making it one of the largest universities in the United States.
