Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is a public research university and the largest institution of higher education in New Jersey. Founded in 1766 as Queen's College, it is the eighth-oldest college in the United States and one of the nine colonial colleges chartered before the American Revolution. The university comprises three regional campuses located in New Brunswick/Piscataway, Newark, and Camden, offering undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across a wide range of disciplines. Note: 'Rutge' appears to be a misspelling of Rutgers.
