Oral Roberts University

Oral Roberts University (ORU) is a private evangelical Christian university located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founded in 1963 by televangelist Oral Roberts, the university is rooted in charismatic/Pentecostal Christian tradition and emphasizes whole-person education—spirit, mind, and body. It offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs through several colleges, including business, education, science and engineering, nursing, and theology and ministry, preparing students for leadership in ministry, marketplace, and service roles. The university's 323-acre campus sits in south Tulsa and includes academic buildings, residential housing, the ORU Library, the Mabee Center arena and sports complex, research labs, dining facilities, and the iconic Prayer Tower. ORU enrolls approximately 5,000 students from across the United States and more than 100 nations, maintaining a mission to develop Holy Spirit-empowered leaders through whole-person education.
