The MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP) is a leading academic unit within the MIT School of Architecture and Planning. It offers graduate programs including the Master in City Planning (MCP), Master of Science in Urban Studies and Planning, and PhD in Urban and Regional Studies/Planning, along with undergraduate minors and cross-registration courses. DUSP integrates planning, policy, and design with social science, economics, and technology to address urbanization, environmental sustainability, social equity, and economic development.
