Midway University

Midway University is a private Christian university located in Midway, Kentucky, in the heart of the Bluegrass region. Founded in 1847 by Dr. Lewis L. Pinkerton as a school for orphaned girls, it has evolved into a coeducational institution offering associate, bachelor's, and master's degree programs. The university is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and is known for programs in nursing, business, education, equine studies, and the liberal arts. The university's 200-acre campus is set in a rural environment near Lexington, Kentucky, and features a blend of historic and modern facilities. Midway University transitioned from a women's college to a fully coeducational institution in 2016, expanding its enrollment and academic offerings while maintaining a student-centered focus.
