Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College, commonly known as LSU, is a public land-grant research university located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Founded in 1853, it is the flagship institution of the Louisiana State University System and serves as the state's largest and most comprehensive university. LSU offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across numerous colleges, with particular strengths in agriculture, engineering, business, coastal and environmental science, and the arts.
