The University of Reading is a public research university located in Reading, Berkshire, England. It was founded in 1892 as University College Reading and received its royal charter as a full university in 1926. The university is known for its strong programs in agriculture, food science, meteorology, construction management, business, and the arts and humanities, and it carries out internationally recognized research across a wide range of disciplines.
