Whitireia Community Polytechnic

Whitireia Community Polytechnic, now known as Whitireia New Zealand, is a public tertiary education institution based in Porirua, Wellington, New Zealand. Established in 1986, it provides vocational education, certificates, diplomas, and degree-level programmes across disciplines including health, business, creative arts, hospitality, trades, and information technology. In 2020, Whitireia became part of Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, the national network of polytechnics and industry training organisations. The institution serves students across the Wellington region and beyond, with a focus on practical, career-oriented learning and strong connections with local industry and communities.
