The Technical University of Dortmund (Technische Universität Dortmund, abbreviated TU Dortmund) is a leading public research university located in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Founded in 1968, it is one of the largest technical universities in Germany and is particularly well known for its strengths in engineering, natural sciences, economics, computer science, and social sciences.
