Canadian Mennonite University

Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) is a private Christian university located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It was formed in 1999 through the amalgamation of three institutions: Canadian Mennonite Bible College, Concord College, and Menno Simons College. Affiliated with Mennonite Church Canada, CMU offers undergraduate and graduate programs in arts, business, humanities, sciences, music, and theology, with an emphasis on peacebuilding, social justice, service, and Anabaptist faith traditions. The university operates primarily from the Shaftesbury Campus in southwest Winnipeg, along with Menno Simons College, which is housed at the University of Winnipeg downtown. CMU maintains a close-knit learning community with small class sizes and strong faculty-student interaction. It is known for its programs in peace and conflict transformation studies, international development, music, and biblical and theological studies.
