Ursuline College

Ursuline College is a private Roman Catholic liberal arts college in Pepper Pike, Ohio, in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland. Founded in 1871 by the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland, it has long been known for health sciences, education, and professional programs alongside traditional liberal arts degrees. The college historically served women at the undergraduate level and expanded to co-educational undergraduate enrollment in 2022, while maintaining its Catholic identity and emphasis on service, leadership, and career-focused learning. Ursuline offers undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as nursing, social work, business, education, art therapy, and the humanities. Its small-campus environment supports close faculty-student interaction, clinical and practicum partnerships in the greater Cleveland area, and NCAA Division III athletics. The institution positions itself as a teaching-focused college rather than a large research university. The campus sits on a wooded suburban site near Cleveland's cultural, healthcare, and business institutions, giving students access to internships and clinical placements while studying in a close-knit residential college setting.
