University of Sunderland (London Campus)

The University of Sunderland London Campus is a branch campus of the public University of Sunderland, located in East London's Canary Wharf and Isle of Dogs area—one of Europe's leading financial and business districts. Established in 2012, the campus was created to extend Sunderland's career-focused, professionally aligned degrees to students who want to study in the capital while earning the same UK university qualifications awarded at the main Sunderland campuses. The London campus offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in areas such as business, finance, management, tourism, hospitality, nursing, and health-related fields. Teaching emphasises practical, industry-connected learning through live projects, placements, guest speakers, and problem-based learning. The student community is highly international, with learners from over 100 countries, supported by dedicated London-based recruitment, admissions, welfare, and student experience teams. Students benefit from a compact urban campus with modern learning spaces, strong links to London employers, and access to the wider university's resources, including the Sunderland Students' Union in London. The location places students within reach of major corporations, startups, cultural institutions, and networking opportunities across the city.
