The University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) is a public research university and a member of the University of Missouri System. Established in 1963, it is the largest public research university in the St. Louis metropolitan area and is classified among R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity. UMSL offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs through colleges that include Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Nursing, Optometry, and Social Work.
