The Tippie College of Business is the business school of the University of Iowa, a public research university in Iowa City, Iowa. Founded in 1921 as the College of Commerce, it was renamed the Henry B. Tippie College of Business in 1999 in honor of alumnus and philanthropist Henry B. Tippie. The college is accredited by AACSB International and offers undergraduate business programs, full-time and part-time MBA degrees, specialized master’s programs, and doctoral (PhD) programs across departments such as accounting, finance, economics, marketing, management and entrepreneurship, and business analytics. Tippie is known for its strong programs in accounting, finance, and business analytics, as well as its emphasis on experiential learning, leadership development, and career services. Its students and faculty engage in research and consulting projects that connect classroom learning with real-world business challenges. The college’s home is the Pappajohn Business Building in the heart of the University of Iowa campus, providing modern classrooms, collaborative spaces, research centers, and student services.
