CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College, commonly known as Baruch College, is a senior college of the City University of New York (CUNY) located in Manhattan, New York City. It is best known for its highly regarded Zicklin School of Business, as well as the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences and the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs. Baruch offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs with a strong emphasis on business, accounting, finance, public affairs, and the liberal arts. The college serves a diverse, largely commuter student population and is recognized for its affordability, academic quality, and strong career outcomes in finance, consulting, government, and nonprofit sectors. Founded in 1919 as the School of Business and Civic Administration of the City College of New York, it was later renamed in honor of financier and statesman Bernard M. Baruch.
