Clark Atlanta University

Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is a private, historically Black research university located in Atlanta, Georgia. It was formed in 1988 through the consolidation of two historic institutions: Atlanta University, founded in 1865, and Clark College, founded in 1869. As a member of the Atlanta University Center, the largest contiguous consortium of African American higher education institutions in the United States, CAU offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs across a wide range of disciplines. The university is committed to academic excellence, social justice, and the preparation of students for leadership roles in a global society.
