Brigham Young University

Brigham Young University (BYU) is a private research university in Provo, Utah, owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Founded in 1875 as Brigham Young Academy, it became a university in 1903 and is now one of the largest private religious universities in the United States. It offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs and is classified as an R1 research institution, with particularly strong programs in business, law, engineering, and languages.
