Southern Institute of Technology

Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) is a public tertiary education institution based in Invercargill, New Zealand. It is one of New Zealand’s institutes of technology and polytechnics and became part of the national Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology network in 2020. SIT offers a wide range of programmes including certificates, diplomas, bachelor degrees, graduate diplomas, and postgraduate qualifications across areas such as business, information technology, nursing, engineering, creative arts, hospitality, and trades. It is well known for its Zero Fees Scheme, which significantly reduces tuition costs for eligible domestic students by refunding fees upon successful completion of courses.
