Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) is a public research university located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Founded in 1880 by Abraham Kuyper, it began as a Reformed Christian university and has since grown into a broad, internationally oriented institution. It offers a wide range of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs across fields such as humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, law, economics, business, psychology, theology, and medicine, and is known for its interdisciplinary research and strong social engagement.
