Tampere University of Technology (TUT) was a Finnish public research university located in the Hervanta district of Tampere. It specialized in engineering, architecture, and natural sciences, and was one of Finland’s leading technical universities. On 1 January 2019, TUT merged with the University of Tampere to form the new Tampere University, which now operates as a foundation-based university and continues TUT’s academic and research activities.
