Åbo Akademi University

Åbo Akademi University is the only exclusively Swedish-language university in Finland and one of the country's most internationally recognized institutions of higher education. Founded in 1918, it serves as the principal academic home for Finland's Swedish-speaking minority and offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and business. The university is known for its strong research profile, intimate learning environment, and close ties to the Nordic and international academic communities. The university operates two campuses: the main campus in Turku (Åbo), located in the historic city center near the cathedral, and a campus in Vaasa.
