Carleton College

Carleton University is a public research university located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1942 as Carleton College, a private, non-denominational evening college to serve returning World War II veterans, and later became a full university in 1952. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across the arts, sciences, engineering, business, public affairs, and journalism, and is known particularly for its strengths in public policy, journalism, aerospace engineering, and computer science. Note: The Canadian institution is Carleton University; 'Carleton College' is a separate, private liberal arts college in Northfield, Minnesota, USA.
